this tea pot is around 1780 -1800 the artwork is a joy to behold and is hand painted. This really is a work of art on ceramic....I love it, and yes there is a chip on the lid but that is the only damage. I often wonder who has had a cup of tea from this pot? It has always been an expensive piece owned by people who have had more wealth than I ever will! Theyd probably be astounded to learn what has happened to their prized tea pot.
