Sam Alcock jug

just to illustrate how widespread (some would say chaotic) my collection is I thought I would share with you my Sam Alcock jug. This is celebrating something from the Napoleonic wars (probably an early victory in Egypt) and is made from coloured perrion, mauve and white. There is thankfully no damage to this very decorative item.

As usual if anybody could supply any background information on this item I would greatly appreciate it.
