God speed the plough-an excellent old jug

Tjis old jug is one of my favourite pieces, it has age, superb decoration, quality...and a little damage. This type of design was a common theme presumably aimed at agricultural workers though I think the victorians popularised the idea of country life by using it commercially.
Anyway this jug is an early example littered with pictures of implements of country life, even the base has a chicken on it!
